 Veneers
Porcelain veneers are yet another path to a perfect smile! Veneers are extremely thin casings of ceramic that are bonded to the fronts of a patients’ teeth. They can be used over teeth that appear to be too small or too large, teeth that are slightly discolored, or teeth that are simply not cosmetically pleasing to the patient. Veneers often prove to be the perfect solution for teeth that are chipped, discolored, or slightly crooked. When placing porcelain veneers, we pay close attention to the patient’s surrounding teeth and design each veneer to complement the overall smile. The result is a beautiful, attractive new smile. We ensure that your new veneers are constructed of the most durable porcelain materials available. If cared for properly, your veneers will last a long, long time!
Procedure
We start by preparing the natural tooth, removing the discolored or unsightly portion and meticulously shaping the tooth in preparation for the new veneer. Once the tooth is ready, we’ll take a dental impression. This impression will be sent to our lab where your new restoration will be crafted. While the new veneers are being created, we will provide you with temporary restorations. Our temporary restorations will closely resemble your natural teeth, so you can continue your daily routine without worry or embarrassment. On your second visit to our office, we will proceed with the placement of your final restorations. The veneers will be fitted comfortably into your mouth. The final step in the process is to bond the new veneers to your natural teeth, leaving you with a beautifully restored smile!
